Title: Director, Social Media & Content

Employee Status: Regular Full Time

Work From Home Option: Hybrid - 2 Days/Week (40% Remote)

Job Overview:

Manages a team of individual contributors and/or Supervisors and is accountable for conducting effective performance management. Allocates resources to meet objectives and goals of the Brand Marketing team. Directs operations for strategic initiatives and serves as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders. Oversees the development and implementation of brand strategies through holistic, consumer-centric activation to maximize product/brand appeal to target customers.

Essential Functions:

• Develops tactical and operational plans for the Brand Marketing team and supports organizational objectives and business goals.
• Leads the execution of marketing campaigns and ensures alignment with corporate brand strategy.
• Directs the analysis of market research data to drive consumer engagement and brand differentiation.
• Implements policies and procedures to improve marketing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Oversees budget allocation for marketing activities and ensures resources are utilized efficiently.
• Lead social media strategy across all platforms, ensuring brand consistency.
• Oversee content creation, including written, visual, and video assets.
• Manage and mentor a team of social media and content specialists.
• Analyze performance metrics to optimize campaigns and content strategies.
• Collaborate with marketing, PR, and creative teams to integrate content initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in social media strategy and content leadership.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing, analytics, and engagement trends.
• Excellent storytelling, communication, and project management skills.
• Experience leading and developing creative teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field

Skills Proficiency:
Knowledge of thoroughbred racing is a plus, though not mandatory

Summary of Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

This role is primarily sedentary and performed in an office or office-like environment with no special physical demands required. The position involves extended periods of sitting with intermittent standing and walking, as well as occasional bending, reaching, and other routine movements typical of a professional workplace.
The role requires regular hand manipulation, including daily typing and repetitive hand movements while working on a computer. Occasional light lifting (generally up to 10 lbs., and infrequently up to 30 lbs.) may be required.
The work environment does not typically expose the employee to hazardous conditions. There is minimal exposure to environmental hazards such as moving mechanical parts, fumes, extreme weather, or high-risk work areas. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role.
