Title: General Maintenance / Laborer

Employee Status: Regular Full Time

Work From Home Option: Not Applicable

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Overview:

Full time opportunities exist for individuals with some general labor, maintenance or landscaping experience to work in NYRA’s maintenance department at Aqueduct Racetrack or Belmont Park. Standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5:30 PM.

Essential Functions:

  • Mowing and raking at NYRA grounds
  • General barn work
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or older
Must have the ability to obtain a NYS Gaming Commission license
Must have a valid Driver's License.

Summary of Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

General maintenance roles are not sedentary and involve working in outdoor conditions at either Belmont Park or Aqueduct Racetrack. Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Must be able to lift over 50 lbs.

Pay Range / Salary:  $19.00 per CBA
