Job Overview:

NYRA seeks part-time TV Operators to provide live coverage of thoroughbred horse racing at Belmont Park and Saratoga Race Course.

Essential Functions:

TV Operator responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: TV Production control room equipment and cameras. Production switchers, audio board, dreamcatcher and video consoles, building and operating various cameras for Studio, RF Handheld and LiveU systems. Shooting talent, horses and scenes throughout the day.

Qualifications:

- Experience with Master control room production equipment.
- Handheld (RF and LiveU) and Studio Cameras Ability to work a racing schedule, 4 to 5 days per week including weekends and holidays.
- Travel required to Saratoga Springs for approximately four (4) months (travel stipend provided).
- Proactive, team player with a desire and ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Summary of Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

These roles involve working in TV production control room and some days outside in all weather conditions, and require the ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs. The work is primarily at Belmont Park and Saratoga Race Course.

Pay Range / Salary:  $36.00 per hour
