Title: Coordinator, Special Events

Employee Status: Regular Full Time

Work From Home Option: Hybrid - 2 Days/Week (40% Remote)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Overview:

Performs tasks and oversees processes/project components for the Guest Services & Hospitality team under limited supervision, ensuring work is aligned to organizational standards, solving problems and roadblocks as they occur. Responsible for tracking guest services issues, coordinating events, and ensuring high quality experiences/hospitality for all guests.

Essential Functions:

• Supports the department by organizing and helping to manage day to day operations that support the overall guest experience
• Leads guest service operations during events, coordinating team efforts to provide a seamless experience
• Reviews and distributes pertinent departmental information at the direction of the department
• Acts as on-site event support during the lead-in, day-of, and finality of activations
• Serves as the point of contact for third party vendors
• Works alongside facilities department to understand overall venue operations and provide on-site support during events
• Collaborates across multiple departments to produce successful events
• Researches and pitches new event ideas that will support NYRA’s overarching goals and objectives
• Oversees NYRA procedures in compliance and procurement departments to ensure overall success
• Manages part-time seasonal help

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree required, with a focus on marketing, communications, sport/event management preferred
1-2 years’ experience in live events preferred
Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint proficiency 

Summary of Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

This position will be assisting in setting up live event activities, in addition to standard office work. The position will require intermittent Sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting. climbing, kneeling, twisting.

Pay Range / Salary:  $23.88 - $28.94
