Job Overview:

The Senior Enterprise Data Operations & Business Systems Analyst serves as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders and the Data & Development organization. The role is responsible for improving the quality, accessibility, governance, and usability of enterprise data while supporting reporting, analytics, and business systems across all departments.

This position partners with Racing Operations, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Technology, Customer Experience, Facilities, Security, and other business functions to ensure data-driven decision making and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with analytical and technical expertise, including SQL, Python, Databricks, and business intelligence reporting tools. This individual will play a critical role in identifying, troubleshooting, validating, and improving data across financial, marketing, operational, and other enterprise systems while supporting the continued growth of our Databricks and Power BI analytics platform.

Essential Functions:

  • Business Systems & Data Operations
    • Serve as the primary business analyst for enterprise data and reporting initiatives.
    • Gather, document, prioritize, and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
    • Analyze business processes and data flows to identify improvement opportunities.
    • Support enterprise applications, system integrations, and reporting platforms.
    • Maintain documentation including business rules, data definitions, and process flows.
  • Data & Analytics Modernization
    • Support migration of enterprise reporting and analytics solutions into Databricks and Power BI.
    • Identify opportunities to automate and standardize reporting and data operations.
    • Collaborate with Data Engineering to develop datasets, metrics, and analytics solutions.
    • Validate data pipelines and transformed datasets against business requirements.
    • Develop KPI frameworks and reporting standards.
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration
    • Partner with leaders across all business functions to understand operational needs.
    • Work with vendors and support partners to resolve system and data issues.
    • Present recommendations and insights to leadership and executives.
    • Facilitate communication between business and technical teams.
  • Reporting & Business Intelligence
    • Design and maintain Power BI, Tableau, and enterprise reporting solutions.
    • Develop executive dashboards and operational reporting.
    • Support data modeling, KPI development, and visualization standards.
    • Monitor reporting adoption and continuously improve analytics products.
  • Data Quality & Governance
    • Develop and execute data quality validation processes.
    • Investigate and resolve data inconsistencies and reporting discrepancies.
    • Maintain business glossaries, data dictionaries, and metric definitions.
    • Support data governance, stewardship, and master data management initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, MIS, or related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Business Systems Analysis, Data Analytics, or related disciplines.
    • Experience gathering business requirements and delivering reporting or analytical solutions.
    • Experience supporting enterprise business systems and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills
    • Advanced SQL for analysis, validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
    • Python for automation, analytics, and data quality processes.
    • Experience with Databricks and modern cloud data environments.
    • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms.
    • Understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT, data modeling, and data governance.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with SAP S/4HANA or other ERP platforms.
    • Experience supporting analytics modernization or cloud transformation initiatives.
    • Familiarity with Databricks SQL, Delta Lake, and PySpark.
    • Experience with Power BI semantic models, DAX, and Power Query.
    • Exposure to master data management and enterprise data governance.

Summary of Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

This position is primarily a sedentary, office-based role performed in a hybrid or remote work environment. The job requires prolonged periods of sitting, frequent computer and keyboard use, repetitive hand movements, and fine motor skills for data analysis, reporting, documentation, and communication. Employees must be able to effectively operate a computer, telephone, and other standard office equipment. Occasional standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, and lifting of materials weighing up to 10 pounds may be required

Pay Range / Salary:  $91,912.50-$131,578.95
